Section IV: Students

Students

120.     The rights and duties of students in the Department are those specified for graduate students by the norms and procedures of the University for all its schools and departments.

121.     The official organization of the students in the Department is the Theological Student Association. Membership in the Association is automatic with a student's enrollment in the Department. Its activities are directed by an annually elected Board, composed of a president and representatives from the degree and special student programs.

The prime function of the Theological Student Association is representation of students at the meetings of the Faculty, on the committees of the Department, on the Graduate Student Association Board, and on the student board of the Washington Theological Consortium.

The Theological Student Association also provides for course evaluation, social events, public lectures in matters of current interest, and the circulation of information pertinent to theological students.
