Categories of Appointment

.016   Regular membership in a Faculty includes appointments with continuous tenure (B-2), appointments probationary for tenure (B-3), and contract appointments without tenure (B-4).  All other appointments to association with a Faculty, as described in (B-5-7), regardless of length of term or extent of duties, full-time or part-time, do not confer regular membership in a Faculty.  Unless specifically provided for in this Manual and arranged for by prior mutual agreement, these appointments do not count as time in service toward acquisition of tenure.
