The Catholic University of America (CUA) is committed to the belief that "with respect to the fundamental rights of the person every type of discrimination, whether social or cultural, whether based on sex, race, color, social condition, language, or religion, is to be overcome and eradicated as contrary to God 's intent" (Vatican Council II, Gaudium et spes, No. 29).  Accordingly, it is the policy of CUA to comply fully with those provisions of Federal laws and regluations prohibiting discrminiation on the basis of race, color, ethnic origin, handicap, sex or age in educational programs and activities, including admission thereto, and in employment.  Inquiries an complaints should be directed to the Equal Opporutnity Officer.
